Christina Aguilera is engaged to Matthew Rutler

OHMYGOSSIP — Christina Aguilera is getting married. The singer and The Voice coach, 33, announced on Valentine’s Day that she and film producer Matthew Rutler are engaged.

The pair have been dating since the end of 2010. “He asked and I said…,” the star Tweeted on Friday to accompany a shot of her and Rutler holding hands – with a gigantic sparkler on her ring finger.

“They’re very much in love and are really excited to take this next step!” a source said.

Reports last year claimed Aguilera lost 25lbs out of love for her boyfriend.

“Christina is sprucing up and losing weight because she and Matt are planning to tie the knot this summer,” a source said at the time.

“She wants a small, at-home affair without too much fuss. She decided to give herself a major slim-down as a pre-wedding present, and feels she looks great at 125 pounds. She’s ready to embark on a new life with a new hot body.”
