Jennie Bond: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be great parents
OHMYGOSSIP — Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond thinks Britain’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine will make great parents, despite the huge amount of pressure on them.
Former royal correspondent Jennie Bond thinks Britain’s Prince William and Duchess Catherine will make great parents. The newswoman, who previously reported for the BBC, believes the royal couple are ready for parenthood and will do a fantastic job, despite the pressure and challenges which are to come.
She told The Express newspaper: “William and Kate are absolute box office superstars and the media frenzy over them is never going to lessen.
“It’s unlikely [the baby will have a normal upbringing like Kate], but that’s the price you pay for the privilege.”
Jennie also thinks Catherine – known as Kate Middleton prior to her nuptials in April 2011 – has had enough time looking in from the outside to be able to adjust to life as a royal and hopes the baby, due in July, is a girl to shake up history.
The 62-year-old journalist added: “I think it is really important that she had ten years to get used to the idea of living in the royal goldfish bowl and I think she’ll be OK.
“I hope it’s a girl. We would have a whole new era, not just a new generation because of the changes in the law.
“It would be a fantastic little bit of history – it’s not just a baby this is a key moment in the future of our monarchy.”
