Stanley Tucci to star in Transformers 4
OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Bay has confirmed Stanley Tucci will star in upcoming film ‘Transformers 4’, joining current cast- embers Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz.
Stanley Tucci will star in ‘Transformers 4’. Director Michael Bay has confirmed the ‘Jack the Giant Slayer’ actor will feature in the upcoming adventure film at the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, where he also let slip that the movie will be shot in IMAX 3D.
While Bay remained tight-lipped on Tucci’s role in the film, he did hint that the feature will involve a “chase from hell” and revealed another big name is close to signing on to the big budget project.
It is thought Tucci will portray an outspoken character similar to John Turturro’s Agent Simmons in the first three films, with the last installment ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ released in 2011.
Stanley will join current cast Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor and up-and-coming actress Nicola Peltz.
Plot details about the flick recently emerged, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect.
The Michigan Film Council, where shooting will begin later this year, said in a press release: “As humanity picks up the pieces following the conclusion of ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet.
“However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs.
“The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues.”
‘Transformers 4’ is scheduled for release in June 2014.
