Coleen Rooney slams Duchess of Cornwall
OHMYGOSSIP — Coleen Rooney has lashed out at Britain’s Duchess of Cornwall, claiming the royal is setting a bad example by speculating about how much Coleen spends on clothes.
Coleen Rooney has hit back at Britain’s Duchess of Cornwall.
The footballer’s wife was shocked to discover the 65-year-old royal had slammed her lavish wedding gown – which she donned for her nuptials to Wayne Rooney in 2007 – and had advised her to spend her cash more wisely instead of on custom-made dresses.
The Liverpudlian star launched into a furious Twitter rant this morning (27.03.13), saying: “I apparently paid around 5 million for my wedding dress!! Joke!!! Diamonds on it….. Not one!”
“Camilla (Dutchess of Cornwall) should know better and teach children to not always believe the rubbish reported in papers!! (sic)”
Her fans rushed to her defence and urged Coleen to look on the bride sight, pointing out that at least she was a household name among the royal family.
@JenSt93 joked: “I find it more funny that she’s talking about you and knows you are haha #Result #NewFan”.
The Telegraph newspaper reported earlier today that Camilla had been addressing charities about the importance of financial education at a special event at Toynbee Hall in London’s Tower Hamlets, when she discovered just how much the brunette beauty reportedly paid for her bespoke gown.
James Wilson, an education officer at MyBnk charity explained: ‘The particular slide she spotted was Coleen McLoughlin, Wayne Rooney’s wife.
“The question is ‘how much does her wedding dress cost?’ and it works out somewhere in the region of £5million, once she paid for it to be hand-made and the diamonds.
“So she joked about just learning about being more sensible with your money.”
