Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez put wedding plans on hold

OHMYGOSSIP — Halley Berry won’t be getting married anytime soon — she’s put her wedding plans on hold while she relocates. The Oscar-winning screen siren is set to marry Olivier Martinez, but before she does is planning to move away from her native US to France for the sake of her four-year-old daughter, Nahla.

“I’m not sure where I am going to be living in the next few months, so I have to get that settled first,” she said.

“It’s the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla. Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she’s special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender.”

Halle says when she does get married, she wants the ceremony to be an intimate affair.

“I do know it will be very small,” she said. “I haven’t been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, ‘Wow – so this is a wedding, huh?’ I’ve never had that, nor have I wanted that.

“I wasn’t even trying to catch the bouquet.”
