Megan Fox: French magazine apologises over misquote
OHMYGOSSIP — A French magazine has apologised for “misquoting” Megan Fox. Jalouse claimed earlier this year that Fox had said she “would not trade [her] place with an unattractive girl”.
However, Fox later posted on her Facebook page that she had never said that, claiming that “the actual comment, the context and its intention are grossly distorted and misrepresented”.
“I gave this interview in English, obviously,” she said. “It was then translated to French and now back into English. I’ve never made vapid self-serving comments and in contradiction am uncontrollably self-deprecating.”
Fox has now returned to her Facebook page to thank Jalouse for printing a retraction.
According to Fox, the magazine said: “In a Jalouse cover story featuring Ms Megan Fox, we unfortunately misquoted Ms Fox. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
Fox is currently rumoured to be pregnant but neither she nor her husband Brian Austin Green have confirmed the reports.
