Fergie’s friends come to the rescue
Fergie‘s friends stopped her make-up from being smudged by balloons at a party by beating them away from her face. The singer was at a bash to launch the Black Eyed Peas’ new video game The Black Eyed Peas Experience at the Supperclub in Los Angeles on Monday night and guests were given Star Wars-style light sabres to hit falling balloons with.
Fergie was unhappy when the tumbling rubber decorations started hitting her in the face and so her quick-thinking pals used their toy sabres to bat them away.
“They (the balloons) were hitting Fergie,” a source said. “So what do her pals do? Bat them away with light sabres so they didn’t mess up her make-up and hair.”
Fergie was joined at the party by her bandmates Taboo and Apl.de.Ap but will.i.am couldn’t make the event because he was sick.
The 36-year-old star is thrilled with the finished video game –in which players must dance their way through the Black Eyed Peas’ music– and thinks developers Ubisoft have done a great job.
“Ubisoft has been so wonderful. They did us justice. It’s a huge compliment,” she said.
At the end of the night, the trio performed an impromptu show, featuring several of the group’s biggest hits.
