Christina Milian‘s divorce from The-Dream has been finalized. The AM to PM singer’s attorney Randy Kessler revealed yesterday that the final paperwork was signed by the judge presiding over their case in Atlanta earlier this month.
She hinted at her newly single status on her twitter page, writing, ” I love freedom… Freedom to be.. To love… To have no boundaries… I love the unexpected, to break the rules. And to OWN my decisions. (sic)”
Christina married the rapper — real name Terius Nash — in Las Vegas in September 2009 and while he served her with divorce papers nine days before she gave birth to the couple’s daughter Violet in February 2010, they are said to have reached an amicable settlement agreement.
Mr. Kessler has previously said, “Ms. Milian strongly believes that peaceful resolution is better for their child and she is very pleased with the settlement and that it was accomplished out of court.”
The couple only announced their decision to split after The-Dream was spotted canoodling on the beach with another woman.
His spokesperson said at the time, “Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”
