Bethenny Frankel gets sued for over $100 million
Reality star and businesswoman Bethenny Frankel is being sued for more that $100 million by her former management company for alleged non-payment of commission as well as punitive damages. E! Online is reporting that Frankel is being sued by Raw Talent Inc., who used to represent ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ star.
The company is claiming that Frankel “willfully and knowingly fleeced” it out of an estimated $12 million in commissions and they also want additional punitive damages upwards of $100 million.
In the lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Raw Talent claims that they helped start and grow Frankel’s career to where it is today.
The lawsuit claims that Frankel agreed to pay 10 percent in commission when she signed with the company in the summer of 2008, and later that year, she sought their advice in developing and marketing her Skinnygirl cocktail line.
The suit alleges that Frankel fired the company just days before the launch of the cocktail line, which ended up being a huge success.
The reality star’s hefty deal with the makers of Skinnygirl, Fortune Brands’ Beam Global, is reported to be $120 million.
