Amy Winehouse heading to the countryside?
Amy Winehouse wants to move to the countryside and start a family. The Rehab hitmaker is reportedly keen to settle down with boyfriend Reg Traviss and doesn’t want to bring up her children in London, because she thinks a “big country home” would be best for her kids.
“Amy is really desperate to be a mum,” a source said. “She and Reg have talked about moving out of London and they want a big country home for their family including a large kitchen, rooms for friends to come and stay and a recording studio.
“She’ll always have a pad in the capital because that’s where her heart is but she wants the best start possible for her children.”
The 27-year-old singer has previously battled substance abuse problems, but now spends a lot of her free time cooking.
“She spends her free time cooking hearty meals for her friends and family including chicken soups and pastas, feeding everyone up,” said the source.
Singer Dionne Bromfield, Amy’s goddaughter, recently revealed Amy was very “motherly” and often cooked up spaghetti for her when she visits.
“She’s always saying, ‘Are you hungry?’ She loves to feed you, that’s all she wants to do — feed you,” Dionne said. “She makes spaghetti and meatballs. I’m not even joking, you’d end up fat coming out of her house!
“She’s very homely, motherly-like. She also cooks salmon stuff — that’s probably the Jewish side of her coming out — and she does amazing chicken soup.”
