(CNS) – Fans and paparazzi crowded behind a rope at the entrance of the Beverly Hilton today as Oscar-nominated artists, including 19 of the 20 actors hoping to win the gold statuette, gathered for a celebratory lunch.
Ernest Borgnine, who took home an Oscar for the lead role in Marty and became a fixture in American households with McHale’s Navy, will receive a Life Achievement Award tonight from the Screen Actors Guild.
The Screen Actors Guild is investigating a former manager for alleged financial improprieties. SAG disclosed the probe Sunday but would not provide the identity of the manager or the amount of the possible loss.
