Ben Stiller talks Zoolander 2
Ben Stiller is dishing the dirt on the upcoming Zoolander sequel! The Hollywood funnyman has revealed he and Justin Theroux have completed the script and handed it over to the studio.
“It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe,” Stiller told Empire magazine.
“I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s basically Derek and Hansel ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime. Their lives have changed and they’re not really relevant anymore. It’s a new world for them.
“Will Ferrell is written into the script and he’s expressed interest in doing it. I think [his character] Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way.”
Owen Wilson — who will reprise his role as male model Hansel — recently revealed he wants singer Lady GaGa to star in Zoolander 2.
“I think there’s a really good script and I think we’re going to do it,” he said. “I think that people will be happy with some of this new stuff we have.
“Lady GaGa has to be [in it]. But she definitely could be… maybe she makes a good foil for Hansel.”
