Real Housewives star Lisa Vanderpump attacked on Christmas Eve

Lisa Vanderpump claims she was verbally attacked at the Beverly Hills Polo Lounge on Christmas Eve.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member told TMZ that she was having dinner with her husband, two elderly people, and Los Angeles news reporter Robert Kovacik when a man walked up to her table and began berating her.

Vanderpump says that when she stood up and asked the man to stop, he punched Kovacik and shoved her husband to the floor.

“Last night at the Polo Lounge my friend, Robert Kovacik was viciously attacked by an aggressive drunk…I am shocked and upset, merry Xmas,” Vanderpump wrote on Twitter.

The attacker was not arrested, but Kovacik — who reportedly received two dozen stitches for his busted lip from Dr. Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon and husband of Vanderpump’s Real Housewives costar Adrienne Maloof — formally requested that criminal charges be filed this morning.

A police report has been filed, but a spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department would not confirm any details of the case, according to TMZ.
