Butch Patrick checks himself into rehab

Butch Patrick — the former child star who played Eddie Munster in the 1960’s TV sitcom The Munsters – has checked himself into rehab. The 57-year-old is in a private facility in New Jersey, where he’s reportedly seeking treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.

His agent, Jodi Ritzen, said Patrick took the step “to deal with a lifetime problem of substance abuse.”

It’s claimed that Patrick had moved to the Philadelphia when a female fan had contacted him, but last week the woman announced that they had broken up.

The rep said Butch’s family is “very happy and supportive… and are thankful he will take control of his fate.”

For years, Butch’s family had been trying to help him “get a grip on his addiction”.
