Nicole Kidman wants to be a director

Nicole Kidman wishes she could have been a director. The Hollywood actress has revealed that if she had the chance to live her life again, she’d be a filmmaker.

“I’d choose to be a director,” she said.

“I think to be a director you have to have a camera in your hand and you’ve got to be looking at the world in a particular way. I didn’t have that upbringing.”

Kidman recently revealed that she badly injured herself while shooting the 2001 movie Moulin Rouge — and it took her two years to recover.

“It was that dancing mentality, where you keep dancing,” she said.

“It was, like, 3am, and I was thinking, ‘I’m so tired and I probably shouldn’t do another scene in these heels, but yeah, OK, one more take, this will be it.’ And I just kind of fell and tore my knee up.

“It was bad because it lasted the next couple of years.”
