Jack Osbourne struggles to stay sober in England

Jack Osbourne says it’s harder to stay sober in England than America. The TV star gave up drinking following a 2003 stint in rehab and insists the Hollywood party scene isn’t to blame for so many young stars, like his friend Lindsay Lohan, going off the rails.

“I actually think it’s harder to avoid drinking in England,” he said. “There’s such a drinking culture, it’s like, ‘Oh it’s lunchtime, let’s go to the pub.’ It’s not like that in America.”

Jack has battled problems with alcohol and prescription drugs and has previously admitted his stint in Malibu’s Visions Adolescent Treatment Center was the best decision he has ever made.

“I’ve never had a plan, I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve been doing and hopefully not drink,” he said. “I don’t ever want to come back to rehab again.”

Jack’s sister Kelly has also been to rehab on three separate occasions to be treated for an addiction to prescription drugs.

Although she is always looking out for him, Jack says his 25-year-old sibling — who split from her model fiance Luke Worrall in July — doesn’t like it if he tries to offer her support.

“Kelly’s very independent and it’s funny because she’s incredibly protective of me, but whenever I try and step in like that for her she really doesn’t like it, so I just let her do her own thing,” he said. “She’s keeping super-busy which is good. I’m proud of her.”
