Christina Ricci is nothing like the shy characters she portrays on the big screen!
The former child star — who’s famed for her more powerful roles in dramas including Black Snake Moan and The Ice Storm — says in real life, she is “always the loudest one” in the room — which is why she jumped at the chance to star in Broadway play Time Stands Still as young events planner Mandy Bloom.
“While on film I can be very quiet and be this one kind of intensity; in real life I tend to be very big,” Ricci said.
“I’m always the loudest one. I’m always the one in the make-up trailer who’s making a fool of themselves… or getting in trouble for this or that or the other. So I was like, ‘I’d like to bring some of that more into my acting.’ And just as I was starting to do that, the play came along.”
Christina recently heaped praise British actor Robert Pattinson — her costar in upcoming movie Bel Ami.
“It was really fun, I mean aesthetically we wore amazing costumes and hair and make-up was great,” she said. “And working with Rob was amazing. He’s such a great guy, so talented.
“He’s just great. We’d make fun of each other the whole time, like ‘Oh my God, we’re so goofy’ or, ‘My accent is so bad!’ ”
Discussing how good a kisser he was, she said, “Um yeah. He is pretty much awesome.”
