Carrie Underwood: My marriage is not conventional
Carrie Underwood admits she and her new husband Mike Fisher haven’t spent much time together since getting married in July. The country music star says their respective careers (Mike plays hockey) keep them on the road — which is why they’re such a perfect couple.
“Mike’s the missing piece to my puzzle — he’s a few pieces,” Underwood gushed to People magazine.
“He makes me a better person.”
Carrie insists she and Mike are content to shuttle between their Nashville and Ottawa homes.
“It’s not like we have office jobs where you can transfer!” she says. “It’s not a conventional marriage.”
Underwood recently admitted she and Fisher are still adjusting to being in a two career family.
“Being married is a lot like dating,” she said last month. “Sometimes our schedules will click, sometimes they won’t. But that’s good because we’re both independent.
“I love going to games, cheering for my man. When I come home, I’m accused of picking up the [Canadian] accent.”
