Alicia Keys plans to take her baby wherever she goes

The singer — who recently married rapper Swizz Beatz — is due to give birth to the couple’s first child next month. “The baby is going to see everything that I do, and that we do, and I think that being a giving individual and being a person that knows we can all do something,” Keys told America’s OK! magazine.

“It doesn’t necessarily need to be the biggest thing that ever happened.

“That’s okay. Something small and little, reaching out to one person in the world is changing that one person in the world and that’s a big deal. I plan to show that in every way.”

Keys has previously revealed that she’d also like to adopt a baby.

“Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me,” she said earlier this year.

“I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa. Hopefully I can be their big sister who they know they can depend on and will always be there, fighting for them.

“The people I met last time I was in Africa inspired me more than anything in my life. I cried a lot. It was extremely emotional and it changed me. It was heartbreaking but also heart lifting.”
