Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen to divorce over scientology

Elisabeth Moss filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Monday to end her brief marriage to Fred Armisen. The Mad Men star, 28, and the Saturday Night Live performer, 43, wed last October.

According to court documents, the couple have been separated since late June.

Moss’ ties to the Church of Scientology apparently didn’t sit well with Armisen.

“They had issues,” a source told Us Weekly. “Her religion was as important to her as their marriage, if not more.

“He could not get with it. They are both moving on.”

This was the first marriage for Elisabeth and the second for Fred; he was previously married to English singer Sally Timms until 2004.
