Eva Mendes likes her man to be clean
Eva Mendes says the only thing she demands in a man is that he “bathe every once in a while”. The screen beauty plays the unlikely wife of Will Ferrell’s out-of-shape desk-bound detective character in new comedy movie The Other Guys, but insists she isn’t too fussy about the men she dates in real life.
“Most women aren’t as shallow as men — not as visually shallow. Most of my girlfriends do have qualities they look for in men which are a priority though, like a job!” she said.
“I like a guy who is taller than me, so I can wear heels — I’m not particularly tall.
“I also like a man to bathe once in a while, but even that I’m not that insistent on — I do like a bad boy, I like a rock ‘n’ roller.”
Eva –– who has dated film director George Augusto since 2002 — also revealed she initially had a hard time working with Will on set, because his improvisational skills kept making burst out laughing.
“He is a laugh to work with, he’s a scream,” she said. “The first day of working with him was so difficult, because he’s a genius of improvisation and I’m not. And I just kept cracking all the time and I quickly had to learn not to. It’s not that I had to stop cracking up, but I quickly had to work on my recovery time.”
