Drew Barrymore: I am a horrible driver
Drew Barrymore can’t drive! The Going The Distance star admits she’s “horrible” behind the wheel of a car because she doesn’t pay much attention to the road.
“I am a really horrible driver. I’m really fast and I don’t pay any attention to anything that’s going on around me,” she said.
“I’m completely fiddling with my radio and lost in my music and just sort of looking out the window at the billboards and going: ‘Oh that looks interesting’.
“And then I’m like: ‘When was the last time I actually looked at the road?’”
Drew recently admitted she has to “beg” her friends to phone her — because she hates being contacted by text message.
“The fact that I’m begging for a phone call is pathetic in this age of technology. Plans are made by text — I can’t stand it,” she told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine.
“I just don’t like this compulsive, instantaneous, over-information, lack-of-privacy, weirdo aspect of the world. If you meet someone, they already know everything.
“What about showing up on the date and saying, ‘What do you do for a living? Who are your friends?’ Yes, you can avoid maybe a serial killer, but who f**king knows? I am a romantic and it scares me.”
