Joe McFadden wants to be killed off in Holby City

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe McFadden wants to be killed off in ‘Holby City’.
The 42-year-old actor has made no secret of the fact that he’d like to leave the medical drama in the future after taking part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and has admitted he’d love to bow out in an explosive storyline that sees his alter-ego Raf Di Lucca gone for good.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he said: “‘Holby City’ has been brilliant. They gave me the time off to do Strictly but sadly everything comes to an end.
“I’ve not got a solid leaving date, I just think that having done this show, there’s other stuff out there and doing live entertainment, it’s where my heart is.
“I love doing theatre, I love musicals, and the longer you leave it the harder it gets. It’s been four years without doing any stage work and I don’t want to leave it much longer.
“I’m going back for a little bit but I can’t say too much else. If and when it does happen it would be nice to have the big exit, as an actor no-one wants to leave in the back of a taxi even if it means being killed off. And obviously a big stunt would be brilliant!”
In the meantime, Joe is pouring his attention into the ballroom and latin show and has admitted it’s not just the performance side of things he’s enjoying – he’s also developed a love for weekly fake tan sessions.
He said previously: “I’m doing the fake tans every week — it’s all part of the experience. In fact, I went double dark the other day. It’s like a colour chart where you choose.”
However, there are some parts of the dancing show that Joe is still trying to get his head around – the restrictive costumes.
He explained: “Some of the things are quite surprising, like your shirt is attached to your pants which I found quite odd in the beginning.
“And being stitched into things . . .  they always stitch you in just in case buttons pop open — unless they are supposed to be open for things like the Paso Doble.”
