Price to Reid: Wedding is for the cameras

Katie Price has allegedly told husband Alex Reid that she is only going ahead with their upcoming wedding blessing for the cameras.

A source told the News of the World that Price would have cancelled the ceremony were it not for a lucrative deal with ITV, fuelling rumours that Price flew to Paris on Friday because she was having cold feet about renewing her vows with Reid.

“Katie is only going through with the blessing because of the TV deal in place with ITV2,” said the source. “It’s too late for her to back out.

“Things between her and Alex have never been this bad. They can’t agree on anything.”

The source also claimed that Price had only agreed to the “blessing charade” in the first place because Reid’s family were upset at missing the couple’s quickie marriage in Las Vegas in February.

They also added weight to reports that Price is planning on using the ceremony as a platform to launch her music career by confirming that she would be singing for guests.

“She wants to sing either ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’, ‘The Power Of Love’ or ‘Eternal Flame’. It will be very cheesy,” they said.

It was reported today that Price has been trying to organise a low-cost wedding by haggling with suppliers.
