Prince Harry threw the first pitch at a New York baseball game on Saturday. The 25-year-old reportedly looked nervous as he threw the ball in front of 40,000 spectators at the New York Mets’s CitiField stadium.
According to the BBC, when the prince was asked how he felt about throwing the first pitch, he joked: “Don’t ask. Can I have a practice first?”
He then apparently pointed to his private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton and said: “He wants to bat against me.” The crowd are said to have cheered when the ball landed in the catcher’s glove.
Harry is currently in New York aiming to achieve closer links between the UK and US armed forces charities.
