Twilight stars respond to Miley Cyrus

The Twilight cast have reportedly responded to Miley Cyrus’s recent admission that she “hates vampires”. The singer has been quoted as saying that she is not interested in watching the movie franchise or vampire-themed television shows like True Blood.

When asked by E! Online’s Marc Malkin for her thoughts on Cyrus’s claim, Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) joked: “Is she scared of them or does she just not like them?”

“I don’t think you should convince people of something if they already have their way of thinking about [it],” she continued. “Whatever – if she hates vampires, that’s cool.”

Castmate Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) reportedly suggested that Cyrus should watch Eclipse to change her mind, while Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black) quipped that Cyrus didn’t need to like vampires “as long as she likes werewolves”.

Stewart and Lautner recently revealed that they sang the popstar’s ‘The Climb’ together at a karaoke night while promoting the movie in South Korea.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse opens June 30 in the US and July 8 in the UK.
