Noel Gallagher grows with it
Noel Gallagher is creating a floral “refuge” in his garden.
The former Oasis rocker – who has a 10-year-old daughter Anais with ex-wife Meg Matthews and two-year-old son Donovan with partner Sara MacDonald, who is currently pregnant with their second child together – has scrapped plans to build a soccer pitch in the grounds of his £2million property in Buckinghamshire, South East England, and is instead creating a lavish green area and summerhouse for wild flowers.
A planning application submitted for the property read: “The family intend to enhance the shrubs and trees with more planting and native meadow flowers.”
The 43-year-old musician’s new scheme has delighted local residents, who admit to having reservations when he first moved into the area 10 years ago.
One neighbour told the Daily Express newspaper: “When he first came here, his brother Liam and he used to play tennis bare-chested and drink in the pool. A lot of people were worried.
“But he’s family man now and is welcome to stay as long as he likes.
“We hear he’s delighted he can now proceed with the summer house.”
Another resident added: Noel has been the perfect addition to the neighbourhood.”
