Michael Sheen signs up to Jesus Henry Christ
Michael Sheen is to play a guilt-ridden professor in new movie ‘Jesus Henry Christ’. The actor has signed up to appear in the film alongside Toni Collette and it will be produced by Julia Roberts for her Red Om company.
The movie tells the story of a young genius who was born by artificial insemination and brought up by his left-wing feminist mother, who will be played by Collette.
The boy then discovers he has a half-sister and after meeting her he sets out on a quest to find his father, who is portrayed by Sheen.
Sheen’s character’s life has been overcome with feelings of guilt and depression but he soon finds hope in his genius son.
The project – which is based on a short film, which won a student Oscar in 2003 – will be directed by Dennis Lee, who has also written the script.
Shooting has now started in Toronto, Canada.
