New York-bound Jenny Packham
Jenny Packham is to bring her clothes to America. The British designer will showcase her collection at New York Fashion Week later this year and she can’t wait to bring her creations to a new audience.
She told vogue.com: “Showing in New York is a great opportunity to present my collection to the amazing following we have of press, customers, stylists and A-listers that are so loyal, supportive and enthusiastic towards my designs. There is an energy in New York that I find palpable and I can’t wait to show the collection there. A lot of JP fans have been asking for us to show in the US for quite some time, and it means a lot of the girls can fly over from Los Angeles to see it too.”
Jenny – who created Miley Cyrus‘ dress for this year’s Oscars – is hoping the move will help expand her business.
Her spokesperson said: “The move is something Jenny has been considering for some time. A number of key stylists, artists and press in the US on both the East and West coasts have been asking Jenny to show in New York so they can be in attendance. Jenny now has flagship stores in Paris and London and with her growing population of fans in the US, it felt natural to take the show there.”
