Kim Woodburn was sexually abused by her dad

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Woodburn was sexually abused by her father.
The ‘How Clean is Your House?’ star has revealed she was “very young” when her dad Terrence McKenzie – who passed away in 1992 – touched her “naughty bits.”
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Tuesday (28.02.17), she said: “My father was a Royal Marine. He was physically abusive. He would hit me with carpet brushes. Oh yes (it was sexual). He touched my naughty bits when he thought he’d get away with it.”
The 74-year-old professional cleaner didn’t feel she could tell her mother Mary about the things her father was doing to her behind closed doors because they didn’t share a very “loving” relationship and she’d often make nasty remarks about her to belittle her.
She said: “I didn’t tell her [mother]. We didn’t talk about those things. She used to say to me: “If I’d have known what you would have been like, I would have sent you back”.’
However, her father wasn’t the only man to do inappropriate things to her as her stepfather beat her when he was under the influence of alcohol.
She said: “I was abused for as long as I can remember. From when I was two and a half or three years old. We were war babies and lots of sad things happened at that time. You meet a young man and he’s going away to war and you think you’ll never see him again so sex takes place because it’s a time of desperation. That’s what happened with my mum – she got pregnant.
“My parents married but they divorced later on and two little girls were left with my mum. It’s sad. Both my parents abused me – my mum and dad.
“And then my stepdad. There were beatings and drunkenness. I could never understand why it was happening to me. They never laid a finger on my sister.”
Although this is the first time Kim has opened up about the abuse she endured as a youngster, she has admitted the heartbreaking experience has never left her mind.
She explained: “It never leaves you. I am 74 now, but I have a great life. I often see lovely families when I’m out and think about how good the parents are.”
