Stephen Gately’s partner will reportedly inherit over £1m from the late star’s fortune after debts totalling nearly £2m have been repaid.
According to the Daily Mail, the Boyzone singer did not create a will before his sudden death last October.
However, intestacy rules have dictated that Gately’s partner Andrew Cowles is to receive most money left over from the £3.3m sum, with a small portion going to Gately’s parents. His four siblings are to receive nothing.
Cowles previously insisted that he wouldn’t accept any money from Gately’s estate, and promised that all funds would go to charity and the musician’s family.
Gately died in his sleep last year while on holiday with Cowles in Majorca.
