Big Brother Nikki Grahame: “I’ve let people down”
Nikki Grahame has said that she feels like she has “let people down” with her recent weight loss. The Big Brother 7 star released a book about her battle with anorexia last year, which detailed her struggles with weight during her childhood.
In a new photoshoot and interview with Closer mag, the reality TV star has confessed that she is battling with dramatic weight loss again, dropping to 5st 9lbs.
“I started losing weight again about a year ago,” said Nikki Grahame. “It’s been worse in the past few months. I hate it. My bones stick out, my boobs have changed shape and I look like a little girl. Nothing fits me anymore. I’ve had to buy 8-year-old children’s clothes and even they hang off me.
“When I wrote my book last year, I was a good example of someone who’d overcome anorexia. Now I feel I’ve let everyone down… I don’t want to let down the girls who wrote to me as a result of my book. I want help.”
She added: “It’s all about controlling what goes in my body. I can’t eat out very often because I can’t control what’s in the food. If there’s visible oil, like on chips, I can’t eat it. I also have to keep each meal under 500 calories.
“I get antsy and irritable if I miss a gym session, and I pace around huffing and puffing if someone delays me getting on the cross-trainer, because I feel like they’re cutting into my exercise time.”
