Sunday Times Rich List 2010: Harry Potter stars dominate top 20 young millionaires list

Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint dominate the young millionaires’ list in The Sunday Times Rich List 2010, beating musicians Leona Lewis, Charlotte Church and Cheryl Cole, Telegraph.co.uk mediates.

Daniel Radcliffe (20) who plays Harry Potter in the films, was ranked fifth with a fortune of £42 million. His earnings last year alone were £25.6 million according to Vanity Fair magazine. Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, was placed joint 10th with £22 million and Rupert Grint, who plays Ronald Weasley, was 12th with £20 million. The three “Harry Potter” stars beat musicians Charlotte Church, Leona Lewis and Cheryl Cole who were ranked joint 16th and 20th respectively.

Keira Knightley was the only young film star to beat the trio and took joint seventh place with a £28 million fortune. The Pirates of the Caribbean actress was joint seventh with Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter Kiera Chaplin (27) and Princes William (27) and Harry (25). Kiera Chaplin made her acting debut in 2001 but has recently focused on Limelight Productions, a Hollywood film company in which she has a 30 per cent stake. The two young princes inherited £12 million in trust from their mother Diana, Princes of Wales, and a legacy from the Queen Mother.

Top of the young millionaire’s list is Arthur Landon, the 28-year-old son of the late Tim Landon who was handsomely rewarded for his role in the 1970 coup that deposed the Sultan of Oman. Third on the list are the granddaughters of Soho property owner and adult magazine publisher Paul Raymond. Fawn and India Rose James inherited £120 million after Raymond died in 2008. Twilight star Robert Pattinson is a new entry to the young millionaires’ list in 14th place with £13 million.
