Will Naomi Campbell Ever Learn a Lesson?
Why has Naomi Campbell become the bizarro version of a villain from a Lifetime original movie? The serial abusing supermodel continues to lash out at her leisure, most recently at an ABC camera crew that had the balls to ask her about a blood diamond allegedly given to her by Liberian despot Charle Taylor. Will Naomi ever learn her lesson?
Probably not, since she continues to get a pass for all of her various transgressions -among them allegedly assaulting a chauffeur and several maids and personal assistants with a variety of mobile devices.
“Anger is about consequences, and for regular folk that type of unabashed anger results in loss of friendships, relationships, possibly job loss, the consequences are immediate and severe, so there is a reason to learn to control bursts of rage and anger, but for someone who has stardom, money and zero consequences, there is no motivation to stop being who you are,” explains radio host and psychology expert Cooper Lawrence. “At worst, she pays off her victims. No lessons to learn for her. Except maybe bad press? She doesn’t care. She isn’t losing work, fame or fans. It’s having zero impact on her life, so why change?”
In her latest attack, Campbell’s went bananas on an inanimate object rather than a human being, as she backhanded an ABC News camera after becoming enraged at a line of questioning from ABC’s reporter that involved a blood diamond possibly given to her by political criminal Taylor.
“It doesn’t seem like Naomi will change or learn how to control her anger,” explains Hollywood Life senior writer Corynne Steindler. “If community service and public humiliation haven’t changed her, what will? She obviously has very deep issues that she’s not fully facing – maybe the consequences haven’t been harsh enough for her.”
