Fergie unveils empowering perfume
Fergie has declared that she wants her debut scent to be strong & empowering. The Black Eyed Peas singer, who is expected to release her first fragrance “Outspoken” in September, insisted that the name had to be both striking and original.
Fergie told WWD: “I did not want to call it “Duchess”, or “Glamorous”, or “Fergalicious”, or something that I’ve already done.
“I did not want it to be so cutesy. I wanted it to be strong & empowering, something that represents me as a whole woman, a fearless woman.
“From my music to my wardrobe, my style is all about speaking up and making a statement. That’s why my first ever fragrance exudes independence. Outspoken definitely turns heads, but it also lets your true personality shine through.”
Fergie’s husband, Josh Duhamel, added that he is already a fan of his wife’s perfume, saying: “I didn’t like what she was wearing before – I never told her. But this is good. It just works with my nose, I think.”
