OHMYGOSSIP — Katy Perry has appeared to confirm she is going on tour next year.
The 31-year-old singer will play at least one concert in 2017 after revealing such plans when responding to a Twitter troll who hit out at her career and standalone track ‘Rise’, claiming it was a “flop”.
In a Q&A with fans, one tweeter wrote to Katy: “Rise flopped and your career is over.”
The raven-haired beauty responded: “See you at my show 2K17.”
Several of Katy’s fans picked up on the reference and started to get excited about a tour happening next year.
One wrote: “so we’re getting a tour in 2017 (sic)”
Another posted: “omg did you just announce your TOUR?? (sic)”
One tweeted: “So are you admitting that the tour is coming in 2017! (sic)”
Katy recorded ‘Rise’ for NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2016 Rio Olympics, but the song didn’t manage to break into the top 10 in the UK or the US.
The tune peaked at number 11 in America and 25 in the UK Singles Chart.
Katy – who is dating actor Orlando Bloom – recently admitted she was working on a fifth album but “not rushing” the record.
She said: “I’m just having a lot of fun, but experimenting and trying different producers, and different collaborators, and different styles.”
Earlier this month, Katy admitted in another Twitter Q&A that she would be prepared to end her feud with Taylor Swift if the ‘Blank Space’ hitmaker apologises to her.
When asked if she would work with the blonde stunner, Katy replied: “If she says sorry, sure!”
The pair have had an ongoing feud ever since the 26-year-old star claimed the ‘Unconditionally’ singer nicked three of her backing dancers from her ‘RED Tour’ in 2012.
