Charlie Sheen bargaining with “Two and a Half Men” team?

Charlie Sheen (44) has been accused of leaking the story that he is thinking of leaving “Two and a Half Men”. A source told E! TV that Sheen is using the reports as a bargaining tool for more money.

“Sheen leaked it to light some fire under their asses to get what he wants. When everyone saw the first story about him wanting to leave, it was like, “What the f**k? Where did that come from?” Nobody heard anything about this – not his co-stars, the studio,no-one,” the insider explained.

The source also claimed that the 44-year-old actor wanting to leave the sitcom “makes no sense”, adding: “Why on earth would he walk away from all that money? The show has stood behind him through all his personal stuff. He owes it to them & more important – it is just too much money not to keep on going.”

The insider argued that Charlie is an “insurance liability” & continued: “He’d probably have a hard time getting other roles because things aren’t exactly stable with Charlie. He already cost “Two and a Half Men” some big money when they had to stop production so he could go to rehab.”

Sheen’s representative denied claims that the actor had leaked the story. “People magazine reported that Charlie told friends that he didn´t wish to come back to the show, while he has told friends that he has made no announcement, made no statement or addressed any aspect of this story,” the spokesperson added.

Two and a Half Men is an American television comedy series which premiered on CBS on September 22, 2003. The sitcom stars Charlie Sheen, Angus T. Jones and Jon Cryer. The show is about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie; his uptight brother, Alan & Alan’s young son, Jake. Charlie’s free-wheeling life is complicated and altered when his brother gets divorced and moves, along with his son, into Charlie’s beach-front house. There have been six seasons of Two and a Half Men; the seventh season is currently showing. CBS renewed the show for an additional three seasons. The show is consistently ranked one of the most watched comedies every season in the US. In 2010, CBS Entertainment & Warner Bros. Television reached a multi-year broadcast agreement for Two and a Half Men, renewing the series through the 2011-12 season. Following a February 2010 announcement that Charlie Sheen was entering rehab, filming of the show was temporarily stopped. Filming of the show resumed on March 16, 2010. On April 1, 2010, People magazine reported that after 7 seasons Charlie Sheen announced he was considering leaving the show.
