Director Paul W.S. Anderson, a British film director who regularly works in sci-fi movies and video game adaptations, has spoken about going 3-D for the fourth instalment of the Resident Evil movie franchise. The 45-year-old director told MTV News about his efforts to make “Resident Evil: Afterlife” the most impressive film in the series.
“My intention was to make this like T2 was to The Terminator. It is the same franchise, but it is bigger & it’s improved and it’s making a large conceptual leap. In terms of me coming back as a director, 3-D was a big part of that. Avatar was a big influence on us,” he said.
“The difference is Avatar is predominantly a 60 percent animated movie, and all I have is CG but I can not tell you how beautiful this camera system makes movies look in 3-D, and how much depth you get.”
