Emily Symons: Home and Away stuck with me
Emily Symons has revealed that she was always recognised in the UK for her role in Home and Away.
The actress reprised her role of Marilyn Chambers on the Australian soap after a 12-year hiatus. Emily Symons had previously played barmaid Louise Appleton in Emmerdale, before leaving in 2008.
“I have to say that I played a character for eight years who was called Louise and every single day people called me Marilyn,” she told Home and Away’s website.
“So she never left me really. I didn’t feel odd or uncomfortable upon returning. I felt like I never left.”
