OHMYGOSSIP — Ross Kemp thinks his days on ‘EastEnders’ could be over.
The 52-year-old actor – who reprised his role as bad boy Grant Mitchell in the BBC One Soap earlier this year – has admitted that he thinks the producers of the show are “done with him” now and he doesn’t think he’ll return.
He said: “I think they [the bosses] are done with me. When they invited me back, it was under an old producer – they’ve not mentioned to me that they want me to go back again.”
However, the legendary star – who has been on the show on and off for 26 years – isn’t too bothered if bosses have pulled the plug on him as doesn’t see himself playing Grant forever.
He told Digital Spy: “It was in the back of my mind that when I went back the second time, everyone said I’d suddenly become some kind of worthy individual, so I went back to try to play him from the old psychopathic Mitchell that he was and hopefully that will entertain. But it’s not long haul for me.”
And while he’d love to continue acting he wouldn’t want to take on anything that gets in the way of his real life documentary projects.
The ‘Ross Kemp: The Fight Against ISIS’ producer said: “If someone offered me a lovely part in a nice drama, I’d do it without a shadow of a doubt. As long as it didn’t interrupt my documentary work.”
