Kristen Stewart watches her performances back
OHMYGOSSIP – Kristen Stewart has revealed she always watches her performances in movies back as she feels it is the best way to learn how to be a better actress. The ‘Twilight’ star thinks it is a good idea to view herself back on the big screen as she believes it helps her to become a better actress in the future.
She told Vulture.com: “I’ve been wanting to make movies forever and I want to direct and write and keep acting forever, so it makes me better to watch the performance. It’s enlightening, and not in a technical way – it’s not like I go, ‘Ooh, I saw my face do this and now I know how to cry onscreen.’ It’s more like, if you can correlate the experience of making the movie to the final product, it affects how you carry on from that point.
“I want to lose myself in a role, I want to completely be drawn to things for natural reasons and not consider an audience, but at the same time, I really care that the movie is good. I like the process of making a movie so much that to not finish it wouldn’t make sense.”
Preferring to draw from her own experiences, the 26-year-old actress admits getting into a role can be tough for her as she has to bring up old memories.
On reliving her own heartbreak for her part in ‘Equals’ alongside Nicholas Hoult, she said: “I read the script and I was just like, ‘This is going to suck and hurt to think about.’
“You just place yourself in that feeling that maybe you’ve had before – it’s the most visceral, intense overwhelming feeling – so when it’s really great, it’s epically great, and when it’s really bad, it’s epically bad. So we knew going into it, this was gonna be like … ‘Oof, this is going to hurt.'”
