Will Smith backs Suicide Squad to be a hit

OHMYGOSSIP – Hollywood star Will Smith has revealed he is convinced ‘Suicide Squad’ will be a box office success. Will appears alongside Margot Robbie and Jared Leto in the much-discussed new comic-book movie and Will is sure that fans of the characters will enjoy watching them on the big screen.

He said: “The thing with this movie, it’s the beauty of comic-book films in general, that there’s a built-in curiosity, so that is part of an entire world that people have already seen seven, eight, ten movies within the world.”

Because of the fans’ long-time love of the characters, Will says they are likely to flock to the cinema to see the movie – and he’s confident they won’t be disappointed.

He explained to SciFiNow magazine: “I don’t think that getting people is going to be an issue. It’s when they get there are they going to be an issue.

“It’s like when they are there are they going to like what they see, and we all feel very confident that when you sit down, you’re going to really enjoy getting to meet the ‘Suicide Squad.'”

Meanwhile, Will’s co-star Cara Delevingne previously revealed she had to get naked to land her role in ‘Suicide Squad’.

The model-turned-actress – who plays the role of June Moon and her alter ego Enchantress in the fantasy film – said director David Ayer told her to strip down in a forest at night to get into character.

She previously said: “I feel like I got a bit more information about one [role] than the other. The first thing that David mentioned to me before I got the role was only about the Enchantress side. It was more about finding that part of myself studying addiction and desperation and that void.

“One of the first things he [Ayer] said was, ‘Go to the forest, the country, hopefully under the full moon, naked and feel what that feels like. And I was like ‘this is f***ing awesome! Ok, I’m going to do that!’

“And I didn’t even have the part yet. That character was a lot more freeing in a way.”
