Spencer Pratt exits current The Hills season

Spencer Pratt has announced that he will stop filming episodes of this season’s “The Hills”. According to People, the socialite has decided, that he wants to devote his time to fighting cyber crime.

“In the last few months I have discovered a new passion & new purpose to my life. With this in mind, I´ve decided to take a break from my obligations to MTV’s “The Hills” and discontinue filming any more episodes for this current season,” he said in a statement.

Pratt also claimed that he was inspired by the US president´s cyber security plans.

“Upon learning of President Obama’s declaration that the ‘cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation’, I have decided to refocus my energy and devote my full resources to helping America face this and other unprecedented challenges,” he continued.

The reality star has been studying software engineering with a focus on encryption at USC and is headed to work for American Defense Enterprises in its cyber security division. His wife Heidi Montag will remain on the programme.
