Kate Winslet and Guy Pearce will be starring in HBO’s Mildred Pierce

According to “Entertainment Weekly”, the five-hour miniseries is based on a novel of the same name, written by James M. Cain.

The plot follows a mother & daughter as they navigate the hardships of the Great Depression. Kate Winslet will play the title role while Guy Pearce will play Monty Beragon.

Evan Rachel Wood is also in the ensemble cast along with Melissa Leo, Veda Pierce, James Le Gros and Brian F. O’ Byrne.
