Jodie Foster helped Kristen Stewart to land a role
Jodie Foster reportedly helped Kristen Stewart to land a role in upcoming movie “The Yellow Handkerchief”, Popeater reports. Foster, who starred alongside Stewart in the 2002 film “Panic Room”, convinced producer Andrew Cohn to hire the star before she had appeared in Twilight, mediates Digitalspy.
“Nobody wanted me to take in the part of Martine,” Cohn said. “She was practically an unknown. But Jodie Foster, a close friend, urged me to take her. So I took her.”
However, director Udayan Prasad claimed that he had already auditioned Stewart before Foster´s intervention. “She has a terrific presence, Kirsten does,” he explained. “She walked into the room. You just sensed something, like, “Who is that person?” Art probably talked to Jodie Foster after we had met Kristen.”
Meanwhile, a source added: “Arthur was the one who mentioned Kristen and Jodie said, “Oh my God, she would be great”. It wasn´t her idea. But Jodie did say that Kristen would be really good for it.”
