Susanna Reid teary as she pays tribute to Strictly Come Dancing co-star Robin Windsor

OHMYGOSSIP — Susanna Reid became teary as she paid tribute to Robin Windsor live on ‘Good Morning Britain’, following his passing aged 44.
The ‘GMB’ presenter, who won Strictly’s 2011 ‘Children in Need’ special alongside pro dancer Robin, started to read out the announcement of her late pal’s death, but she had to pass the information to her co-host Ed Balls to continue.
She said on the show: “I’ve got some very sad news to break about a much-beloved member of the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ family.
“On their Facebook page today – I’m sorry, I’m not going to be able to read this, Ed, because I danced with him. It’s about Robin Windsor.”
After Ed read out the announcement, Susanna paid tribute to Robin as “an absolutely remarkable dancer”.
She said: “Robin was larger than life and I fell in love with him and fell in love with dancing when I danced with him back then. He was an absolutely remarkable dancer, incredibly strong, so creative, he was just so enthusiastic about dancing.”
Later in the episode, Susanna added: “I have wonderful memories of you, Robin. I was luckily enough to dance with Robin.
“He was very sensual, wonderfully exuberant, endlessly enthusiastic, full of strength and creative, and sparkle, as Richard Arnold just said.
“He was a fabulous, phenomenal personality.
“He had an infectious sparkle. You felt like you were dancing with somebody who just embodied the magic of ‘Strictly’.”
Robin was a ‘Strictly’ pro from 2010 to 2013, partnering the likes of Patsy Kensit, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley and Deborah Meaden.
‘Emmerdale’ actress Lisa has been left devastated by Robin’s passing, admitting her heart has been “broken” by the news of his death.
She wrote on Instagram: “My Bestie, My Robin, My Angel….now our forever Angel, who is loved, will always be loved, forever in my heart……my very broken heart, I love you, shine your beautiful, electric energy from heaven. [broken heart emojis] SHINE IN PEACE [broken heart emojis] (sic)”
Dance company Burn The Floor, which Robin co-founded, confirmed the late star’s passing.
A Facebook post in the early hours of Tuesday morning (20.02.24) read: “The Burn the Floor family has lost one of its founding members, Robin “Bobby” Windsor – who has tragically passed away. A BTF journeyman he danced with us for twenty years – including Broadway, The West End and all our crazy adventures around the world. His stunning image attached with Jessica Raffa defined our company, colourful, extreme and sensual. His talent, attitude, energy and personality helped create the Burn the Floor stage reputation. He leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled, yet our wonderful memories will stay forever [heart-broken emoji] (sic)”
