Record three golden buzzer moments on first day of Britain’s Got Talent auditions

OHMYGOSSIP — A record-breaking three golden buzzers were pressed on the first day of auditions for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli all opted to send acts straight through to the semi-finals of the show on the opening day of try-outs for the ITV programme on Wednesday (24.01.24).
Confirming the news on her Heart Breakfast radio show, Amanda, 52, said: “Three golden buzzers were pressed yesterday. We’ve only just started, it was the first session! You have to go with your gut.
“Never in the history of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ since golden buzzers have been invented has that happened. It was an amazing afternoon.”
Amanda decided to press the golden buzzer for a singer and is convinced that the act has what it takes to win the show and a slot on the bill at the Royal Variety Performance.
She said: “I don’t think anyone’s going to beat the person I’ve pressed the buzzer for.”
Simon decided to put dance act Cyberagent through to the semi-finals and was impressed by the “original” performers.
The 64-year-old mogul said: “It was really, really so good. It did feel original.”
Meanwhile, Bruno was left close to tears by the dancer he selected and felt a connection to the performance given his background in the profession.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge, 68, said: “People don’t understand how hard it is to succeed as a dancer, you do it for nothing, you do it for love. I felt the love.”
‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is due to return to the screen in the Spring on ITV1 and will be available to stream on ITVX.
