Jamie Lynn Spears arrives in Australia for I’m A Celebrity – but refuses to speak about Britney

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Lynn Spears has landed in Australia ahead of her debut on ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 32-year-old actress – who is best known for being the sister of pop legend Briney Spears – is gearing up to take part in the jungle-based ITV1 reality survival show but, according to The Mirror, she refused to tell reporters if her superstar sibling is aware of her upcoming TV stint.
According to the outlet, one member of staff on her United Airlines flight said: “She was in my section, she was so sweet. She told us she was here for work.”
The former ‘Zoey 101’ star become somewhat estranged from Britney in recent years amid her alleged involvement in the ‘Lucky’ singer’s conservatorship – which was terminated in 2021 and the megastar regained control over her multi-million-dollar fortune as well as various aspects of her life and career – but is hoping to change the public’s “misconceptions” about herself
She said: “There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously. But I do think going on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be myself and do something really cool and have some awesome experiences in the meantime.”
The ‘Sweet Magnolias’ actress will be joining politician Nigel Farage, 59, ‘This Morning’ host Josie Gibson, 38, ‘First Dates’ star Fred Sirieix, JLS singer Marvin Humes, and NTA Award-winning ‘EastEnders’ actress Danielle Harold, 31, on the show.
Meanwhile, food critic Grace Dent admitted she is “filled with dread” at the thought of surviving in the jungle as she joked that her ideal campmate would be the “practical” Queen Camilla and ‘Hollyoaks’ star Nick Pickard – who is the soap’s longest-serving cast member – admitted that he is a “bit scared of the dark” but jumped at the “once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity when it presented itself.
‘Made in Chelsea’ Sam Thompson star will also be heading into the jungle and has already vowed to do the “cooking and the cleaning” for his fellow campers, whilst YouTuber Nella Rose is determined to “keep the morale” high in the jungle.
‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ starts on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday 19 November at 9pm.
