Myleene Klass: ‘I was a Jungle Legend for five seconds at home!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Myleene Klass loved being able to compete on ‘I’m A Celebrity: South Africa’ as a mother.
The 45-year-old singer – who has daughters, Ava and Hero with ex-husband Graham Quinn as well as Apollo with partner Simon Motson – won the survival show’s spin-off series earlier this year and was crowned the first ever Jungle Legend and explained the opportunity was “brilliant” for her children because they weren’t around when she competed in the 2006 edition of the show.
She told Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “They weren’t around for the first one and they liked the fact that in All Stars everything was bigger and scarier! But it was great and so brilliant to bring that crown home for the five seconds they acknowledged that I was a legend. There’s nothing as humbling as children!”
Meanwhile, the former ‘Loose Women’ panellist – who shot to fame alongside the likes of Kym Marsh when they won a place in Hear’Say via the reality show ‘Popstars’ in 2002 and these days also has her own fashion range but has also helped change laws surrounding pregnancy loss after suffering four miscarriages herself – explained that she has had to “hustle hard” to get where she is and has “never” stayed in her lane when it comes to her career.
She said: “It’s a difficult question to answer – I’ve never stayed in my lane, much to the frustration of many, I’m sure.
But you can change a tyre, listen to Mozart and play Madonna. Women aren’t one-dimensional. I love challenging what Westminster deems should be right for us. I love making sure that my children see that I’m practising what I preach and it’s within their reach, too. I’m state educated. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth – I had to go out and hustle hard.
