Kate Garraway returning to host a new series of Life Stories

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Garraway is to return to host a new series of ‘Life Stories’.
The ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter took over from her former co-host Piers Morgan on the ITV interview series last year, after he departed ITV for TalkTV, and she will interview a trio of celebrities on a new three-part run of the programme.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, ‘Life Stories’ will be back in the autumn, and Kate’s first show of the new series will see her interview ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dancer-turned-judge Anton Du Beke.
Kate’s first series aired in February 2022 when she interviewed former footballer John Barnes, ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Nadiya Hussain, and singer Charlotte Church over three episodes.
Piers’ final episode was in December 2021, when he interviewed Kate before she took over fronting the show.
She previously said: “I’ve always loved having the chance to talk to people, both on air and off.
“Everyone has a story to tell and the wonderful thing about this show is that you have the airtime to delve into the areas of guests lives that the viewers might not know about already.
“It’s also a chance to understand more about the bits we do already know about, both good and bad, and hear it in their own words.”
During Piers’ chat with Kate, she opened up about the struggle her family has faced amid her husband Derek Draper’s long battle with COVID and the after-effects, for which he still receives 24/7 care at home.
Speaking on the show in December 2021, she said: “It’s devastated him. From the top of his head to the tip of his toe. His digestive system,
his liver, his kidneys, his heart, his nervous system.
“We’re pretty sure that the inflammation did pass through the brain.
“He still can’t communicate, he still has issues with mobility. Fundamentally, he’s in a terrible state. Look, he’s alive, Piers.”
